At Vintage Oaks Farm, we teach riders more than how to ride – we teach them about life.
Lessons at Vintage Oaks begin with learning about the horse, its nature and personality. Riders are taught how to groom, feed and care for their mounts. We feel this approach teaches children responsibility and accountability – while opening up a new world.
Our two experienced trainers, sisters Kelle and Katie, offer lessons in the hunter discipline to riders of all levels. Our horses are well-trained animals with patient personalities.
Lessons are available to children of all ages, starting at three years old. The lessons are comprehensive and riders progress from simple tasks to jumping small obstacles.
Vintage Oaks has an indoor arena, which allows for lessons year round, regardless of the weather. Riders who choose to bring their own horse to the farm for a private lesson are easily accommodated.
Group and private lessons are offered Monday-Saturday at varying times, but please note that Saturday lesson times are subject to change depending on show schedules. Lessons usually last for one hour; 30 minutes for younger riders.
